Originally I’m from Calgary Canada, and am a pretty funky chick and love the colors yellow and pink. Currently I’m happily married in Sacramento, CA with my wonderful husband Saberfire/Bobby, and our 2 lovely dogs. We travel a great deal, and enjoy costuming together at conventions.
A little more about me, I’ve traveled far and wide through SE Asia, Australia and the Caribbean. I even lived on the island of Aruba for 6 months while working on large sailboats and working towards a scuba dive master certification (It didn’t get finished sadly). I’ve been a sailing instructor for many years, and even perused my own sailboat racing career to a world championship level in my single-handed dingy.
Ive been to University and College, but my favorite interests were those in rescue and Ambulance. I was a Firefighter in my hometown for 3 years, thus leading to lots more school and my career as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
From there, while I was passing the long hours working EMT in Northern Canada, I took up sewing and challenged myself to make a fur suit/mascot costume. It took off very fast from there, and before I knew it, I was making all sorts of costumes and striving for excellence and quality, which is now our successful entrepreneurial business called FurrHappens.com!
In my very little spare time I enjoy robotics such as Pleos and Aibos, reading, spending time with friends, visiting my family back in Canada, and the occasional piece of pencil artwork.
I’ve had a lot of adventures, done a lot of different things, and lived a very full and fun life so far. I can’t wait to see what the future holds. I cherish my family and friends above all else.
Oh and call me Silver, or just Lindsey, not ‘Silverlinz’ which was the hybrid of the two and is just my LJ title.
